Home E911 Address Signs

E911 Sign Being able to find your house is important for us to be able to provide ambulance service during and emergency. Even with fancy GPS systems nothing is better than being able to see a well marked house or driveway. We are responding at all different times and weather conditions which can make address locating difficult. Here are a few guidelines to make sure your address is well marked:
  • The address sign should be placed on your mailbox post or near your front door if your home is easily visible from the road
  • The address sign should be visible from both directions. Sometimes we are coming from another call and will not be approaching as you would expect.
  • The address sign numbers should be at least three inches tall and reflective
  • The address sign should be mounted securely at least a few feet off the ground to prevent it from being lost in a snow bank.
  • We have letters and arrows available for multi-unit buildings or for split driveways. Write a note in the comment box and we can figure out the best solution for your situation.
  • If you need a street sign for your private road you can get one at Hall Signs. A 9" sign with 6" letters meets most national standards for street marking. We recommend both upper and lowercase letters. The background should be high intensity prismatic green. The reflective border is optional. Don't forget the mounting hardware.
Our E911 address signs are 14 gauge aluminum covered in green, high intensity prismatic sheathing on both sides. The three inch tall numbers are reflective and are mounted with a template to ensure even spacing. The signs are 6"x12" or 6"x18" depending on the length of your address and the mounting options. All signs are $10 and are available for free if you participate in Medicaid, WIC or Dr Dynasaur. Signs are typically ready for pick-up within 1-3 business days and will be mounted on your mailbox within a week of your order. Fill out the form below to order yours.
